The Benefits of Applying Sociological Principles in the Workplace
This session will include a brief video about what sociology is and what students can take away from a SOC111 course. We will then identify ways that sociology can help in a job interview, how it can help make it easier to get along with different kinds of supervisors and co-workers, and how applying sociological principles can lead to favorable treatment by employers, and even lead to promotions.

Emergency Managers and First Responders - What's the Difference?
A discussion about the relationship and differences between emergency managers and first responders. A common misconception in public safety is that first responders and emergency management is one in the same they are not. This discussion will identify the differences between emergency management and first responders and discuss emergency management as a career path.

Explore Paramedic Technology
Paramedic faculty and current students will offer demonstrations of our state-of-the-art paramedic simulation laboratory. Participants will have a chance to learn what a paramedic can do by practicing invasive advanced life support skills on human simulators and manikins. Participants will extricate a patient from a simulated vehicle, place a breathing tube into a human simulator, and see their heart rhythm.

Honda- The Power of Dreams
This session will introduce students to the latest technologies that exist in a modern automobile. Participants will examine the various skills and equipment that are required to service and repair these vehicles. We will also explore the career opportunities that exist in the automotive industry.

Simulation in Nursing

Occupational Therapy Assistant: Skills for the Job of Living

Surgical Technology
Guests will participate in mock surgical procedures such as an appendectomy and bowel resection in one of our two surgical suites. Learn about the role of the Surgical Technologist and what a typical day would involve.

Aircraft Structure: What Makes it So Strong?
A small sheet metal project which simulates the techniques of how an aircraft is constructed. The project will include drilling holes in two pieces of aluminum and attaching them to one another by squeezing several rivets using rivet squeezers. Students will learn the theory behind, and the importance of, internal aircraft structural components as well as proper safety and tool handling techniques.

Toiletology- Call the Plumber! Everybody Goes, but How Much Do You Know?
Workshop will let students explore the various types of fittings, pipe, fixtures, and tools allowing a plumber to install or repair a water closet in the residential plumbing field. Watch a sewer snake live camera action, explore the bowels of a PVC Schedule 40 drain system.

CNC Machining with Cadcam Applications, Robotics and Fluid Power
In the automated manufacturing lab, students will observe demonstrations on CNC machining centers producing parts designed using various cad and cam software. Students will also see demonstrations with industrial robots and fluid (pneumatic and hydraulic) power trainers.

Designing in a Galaxy Far, Far, Away
In this session we will be placing a fun spin on Engineering Design by presenting students with the following scenario... Congratulations! You've just accepted a job with the evil Galactic Empire. For your first project, you've been assigned to the team which has been given the task of redesigning the All Terrain Armored Transport (AT-AT). The Empire has identified several flaws with the current arrangement and would like you to use Autodesk Inventor to improve upon the design. Simulations will be run in the software to test the effectiveness of the new AT-AT before the Empire commits to production.

This session is supported, in part, by the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). All interested accounting and business students should attend. This session also incorporates topics that may interest information technology students.
